At Dance Focus Academy, our mission is to provide an inclusive environment for dance education. We believe that dance is more than just steps; it's a foundation for life skills, fostering creativity, physical strength, and emotional resilience in students of all ages as well as fostering a lifelong love of learning and a passion for dance. Whether you want a career in the performing arts, want to get fit or just dance for fun our aim is always to help you meet that goal in a friendly supportive environment.
Our Founder
April Timpson
Over 20 years of DFA
April built the school over more than 20 years starting off in halls around Fleet and Rotherwick. Putting on an annual show at The Princes Hall in Aldershot, coaching students through exams and fostering a passion for dance. She opeened her own studio in 2019 which became the home of DFA for 7 years.
Retirement
April retired in July 2026 to be able to spend more time with her husband Dave. We'll update you later in the year with what else she get's up to.
